Out Fished Now I’ve been fishing for 50 years or so. And everytime theres a moon period I’m ready to go. I’ve written newsletters on fishing in this state, About rod and reels, artificial lures and live bait. You’d think with all this expertise Catching the biggest fish for me would be a breeze. Now I’ve been know to catch more than most, But I really don’t care to boast. But this summer I met a young fisherman, Pretty young, but able to take his own worm out of the can. Showed him how to throw his rod and reel And with a little practice he was doing it like a big wheel. Well me and his Grammy was catchin an occasional small cat, When this little fellers rod took a tap. He reeled and reeled and it took all his strength And in came a catfish of quite some length. It’s kind of hard to swallow but the truth must be told. I just got outfished by a 4 year old. Written for my new fishin buddy , Chris |
