Two Ohio hunters stopped in today. Wanting a place to hunt without
havin to pay. Had a good story bout times being
kinda rough So I told em a story about farmin
being real tough
As we was talkin them birds kept
flying by. Eyes bulgin lips quiverin, I though
the kid was gonna cry Finally he said, “I got to make you a
deal” Got 6 more pheasants I got to keel.
So I sent them round the fenceline Figured that’d keep them busy for a
time
Heared a couple shots, then a few more Thought I’d go and check the score.
Blocked for them and shot two birds Dang good shot, was their words.
If they could They wanted to hunt a
second day. So I figured out a trade so they
didn’t have to pay.
Yup they’ll be skinnin more of
them rooster tails Soon’s they get done poundin a few
more nails.
You see, I needed a new roof on my
barn. And that’s the end of this little yarn.
Written about two dang fine Ohio
pheasant hunters.

and Chris D. I'll have to say one of them was a
better shot with a hammer than a gun. But they got their birds.
